Castling Homeside
The geometrical form of what was once a house is no longer present. Segments of the structural elements (walls, roof and floor) have been crushed and all the fragments have been categorized by size and color into glass boxes, transformed into a new building material.
A sampling of the house’s ‘body’ that once was the protection and the boundaries of an inhabitance space.
The sculpture refers to the constant cycles of building, destruction and reconstruction of the human landscape
The artwork consists of debris from abandoned Athenian houses of the last century.
